Some roaming partners that have switched to the VoLTE standard and disabled communication services on 2G and 3G networks may have trouble with voice calls while roaming in the following countries: Japan, the United States, Australia, China, and Singapore.
For stable connectivity, we recommend connecting to Light roaming or Business roaming, Universal Light roaming, Universal Business roaming, and using services on the 4G network.
We are working closely with roaming partners to ensure voice connectivity on these operators' networks in the near future. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
When activating international roaming services, the «Access to VoLTE» service will be automatically disabled.
BEFORE THE TRIP
To use Mobiuz mobile communication services when traveling abroad, you should activate one of the international roaming services – «Universal Roaming», «Light Roaming», «Business Roaming» or «SMS Roaming».
«Universal Roaming»
The series of services «Universal roaming» of international roaming allow the subscriber to register in the networks of roaming partners of «UMS» LLC and use the services of voice calls, SMS, data transmission services of international roaming, provided by the roaming partner:

if these services are available and there are no restrictions/blocks on the subscriber's number,
-
with the appropriate balance,
-
provided that the required number of days have passed from the date of connection of the subscriber’s number.
«Universal roaming» services are available for connection only through the Mobiuz application and only on tariffs for individuals, unless otherwise specified in the terms of the tariff.

- if the connection is successful, the application displays a notification about the connected service (Universal roaming - Mini/Light/ Business ) and its validity period, and in case of an error, it notifies about the reason for the error. An SMS notification is also sent to the subscriber's number.

extend the validity period of the connected service «Universal roaming» for 30/90/180 days, up to a total of 360 days after all extensions.

- if the balance and/or the period from the date of connection of the subscriber's number has changed and the subscriber needs to switch from «Universal roaming – Mini» to «Universal roaming - Light or Business», the subscriber needs to press the «Update roaming level» button to re-check and update to the available option of the «Universal roaming» service.

the Mobiuz App analyzes the conditions above and automatically connects one of the three available options for the «Universal roaming» service, or does not connect if the subscriber’s number does not meet one or more conditions.

when connecting, the application adheres to the following priority for connecting the «Universal roaming» service:

«Universal roaming – Business» – high priority.

«Universal roaming – Light» – medium priority.

«Universal roaming – Mini» – low priority.

validity period: by default 30 days from the date of activation. If the subscriber needs the service «Universal» roaming (in all variations) for a period longer than 30 days, then the period can be extended through the Mobiuz application or through the USSD menu *111*012# for 30/90/180 days. The total validity period of the service «Universal roaming» can be no more than 360 days after all extensions from the date of connection;

«Universal Roaming» service is active (Mutually exclusive in all variants of the «Universal Roaming» service). In this case, if when connecting the «Universal Roaming» service the «International access» service is already connected on the subscriber's number, the latter is automatically deleted before activating the «Universal Roaming» service;

if the subscriber has connected the «Universal Roaming» service, and then tops up the account to gain access to additional communication services in roaming corresponding to the new balance on the subscriber's account, then the subscriber must press the «Update roaming level» button through the application, and the application re-checks the subscriber's indicators according to the conditions and updates the «Universal Roaming» service to the available option (for example, from 1 to 2/3, or from 2 to 3/1).

it is impossible to simultaneously activate the services «Universal Roaming» (all variants ), «SMS roaming», «Light Roaming» and «Business Roaming» on one subscriber number. To activate one of these services, you must first disable the one that is active before activating the other;

when connecting/disconnecting, the subscriber is sent a corresponding SMS notification.

checking the status of the services «Universal Roaming» (in all variations), «SMS roaming», «Light Roaming» and «Business Roaming» is performed by the same USSD or SMS command.
- deactivation of the services «Universal Roaming» «SMS roaming», «Light Roaming» and «Business Roaming» is performed by the same USSD or SMS command. After deactivation of the service «Universal Roaming» (in all variations), the subscriber is sent a notification about the disconnection and USSD commands to activate the service «International access».
"Light Roaming"
This international roaming service allows the subscriber to register in the networks of roaming partners of UMS LLC and use the services of voice calls, SMS, data transmission services provided by the roaming partner with a sufficient positive balance, availability of these services and the absence of bans/locks on the subscriber's number. In the "Light Roaming" service, outgoing voice calls to international destinations are limited and, while roaming, you can make outgoing calls only to numbers in Uzbekistan and outgoing calls in the host country. Calls to other countries are not possible, including calls to satellite operators.
Service Availability:
The service is available to subscribers of all tariffs (unless otherwise specified in the terms of the tariff) with a sufficient positive balance on the personal account, regardless of the type of roaming-Offline or Online (CAMEL), individuals and legal entities. The "Light Roaming" service is valid for 30 days from the moment of activation for new connections.
Enabling the service:
To activate this service, you must have a balance on your personal account in the amount of at least 100 000 UZS (One hundred thousand) as an advance payment for future roaming expenses. Activation of this service for individuals is performed by:
- an employee of the Service Center of UMS LLC when the subscriber personally applies with an identity card and with a sufficient positive balance on the personal account.
- ia the USSD menu *111*012# and via Mobiuz mobile application under the following conditions:
More than 180 days have passed since the number was activated.

The "International Access" service is disabled on the subscriber's phone number.
- When a subscriber who is located outside the Republic of Uzbekistan personally applies through the feedback forms available on the official website of UMS LLC or by applying through the company's official social networks /messengers with subsequent fulfillment of the service activation conditions. Such requests are considered individually on working days (Mon-Fri from 09: 00 to 18: 00).
For legal entities, this service is activated upon written request and through the Virtual Manager.
Note:

When you activate the Light roaming service, the «International access» service is automatically disabled, and when you deactivate the Light roaming service, the «International access» service is automatically activated on the subscriber's number.

The "International Access" service and the "Light Roaming" service are mutually exclusive services. In other words, if one of these services is connected, it is impossible to connect the other. Therefore, to activate the "Light Roaming" service, you must first make sure that the "International Access" service is not enabled.

If the subscriber needs the Light roaming service for a period of more than 30 days, starting from 11.11.2022, the period can be extended via USSD menu *111*012# for 30/90/180 days. The total validity period of the "Light Roaming" service can be no more than 360 days after all extensions from the activation date.
"Business Roaming"
This international roaming service allows the subscriber to register in the networks of roaming partners of UMS LLC and use the services of voice calls, SMS, data transmission services provided by the roaming partner with a sufficient positive balance, availability of these services and the absence of bans/locks on the subscriber's number. In this service, outgoing voice calls are unlimited and while roaming, you can make outgoing calls to international destinations, including calls to satellite operators with a positive balance and no restrictions on the number.
Service Availability:
The service is available to subscribers of all tariffs (unless otherwise specified in the terms of the tariff) with a sufficient positive balance on the personal account, regardless of the type of roaming Offline or Online (CAMEL), individuals and legal entities.
Enabling the service:
To activate this service, you must have a balance on your personal account in the amount of at least 500 000 UZS (five hundred thousand) as an advance payment for future roaming expenses. Activation of this service is performed by an employee of the Service Center of UMS LLC upon personal request of the subscriber with an identity card and with a sufficient positive balance on the personal account. For legal entities, this service is activated upon written request.
Legal entities can connect to this service by submitting a written application and through the Virtual Manager .
Note:
When you activate the Business Roaming service, the «International access» service is automatically activated on the subscriber’s number.
When connecting the "Business Roaming" service, you should make sure that the "International Access" service is enabled, since without the "International Access" service, it is impossible to make calls to international destinations in roaming, including outgoing calls to Uzbek numbers when you are in the roaming partner's network.
Disabling services
Business Roaming service does not have an automatic deactivation option. Upon returning to Uzbekistan, to avoid unexpected roaming charges while in the border areas of Uzbekistan with neighboring countries, where there is a high risk of automatic connection to the networks of neighboring countries' roaming partners, it is recommended to deactivate roaming services. To check the status and deactivate the Light Roaming or Business Roaming service, please contact the UMS Service Center or use the following options:

"SMS roaming"
This international roaming service allows the subscriber to register in the networks of roaming partners of UMS LLC and use the SMS exchange service provided by the roaming partner if this service is available, there is a sufficient balance on the personal account and there are no bans/locks on the subscriber's number. When enabling the "SMS Roaming" service, the following services are not available in roaming and on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

an incoming voice call.

outgoing voice call, including calls to emergency numbers at your location.
Service Availability:
The service is available to subscribers of all tariffs (unless otherwise specified in the terms of the tariff) with a sufficient positive balance on the personal account and the absence of bans/locks on the subscriber's number, regardless of the type of roaming Offline or Online (CAMEL), individuals and legal entities.
Enabling the service:
Activation of this service for individuals is made under the following conditions:
The subscriber is notified about restrictions on communication services when the "SMS Roaming" service is active
positive balance on your personal account
no bans/locks on the subscriber's phone number.
The Mobile Data service is disabled on the subscriber's phone number.

The "SMS Roaming" service is activated for the period specified by the subscriber in the request.
If you need to use voice communication services/mobile Data in the coverage area of the UMS LLC network, the subscriber must disable the SMS roaming service via the USSD command or use other available methods to disable this service described below.
For legal entities, this service is activated upon written request.

Mobile Data and SMS Roaming services are mutually exclusive services, meaning that if one of these services is enabled, then SMS Roaming cannot be enabled. Therefore, to activate the "SMS Roaming" service, you must first make sure that the "Mobile Data" service is disabled.
Checking the status and disabling services
The Business Roaming service doesn't have an auto-disconnect condition. When returning to Uzbekistan, it is recommended to disable roaming services in order to avoid the formation of unexpected roaming costs when staying in the border territories of Uzbekistan with neighboring countries, wh ere there is a high probability of automatic connection in the networks of roaming partners of neighboring countries. Simultaneous connection of "Light Roaming", "Business Roaming" or "SMS Roaming" services on the same personal account is not possible. To activate the "Light Roaming", "Business Roaming" or "SMS Roaming" service, you must first disable the one that is active before activating the other one.
Deactivation of "Light Roaming", "Business Roaming" or "SMS Roaming" services is performed by the same USSD or SMS command.
MOBILE DATA SERVICES (GPRS / 3G/LTE) IN ROAMING MODE
In order to use mobile Data services while roaming, you need to make sure that the Mobile Data service is enabled on your phone number and that the APN settings are set up correctly on your device. You can find information on automatic APN configuration at the following link. If your device does not support automatic settings, please contact the Contact Center for more information. In order to use the 4G/LTE service in the available roaming partner networks, you must connect the 4G LTE network access service.
WHILE ROAMING
How do I register online?
Usually, registration in the roaming partner's network is performed automatically by the phone. If registration in the network did not occur automatically, you should set the manual network search mode according to the instructions for using the phone (go to settings and sel ect the option "Mobile Networks" or "Cellular communication" and perform a manual network search) and sel ect the available roaming partner network according to the list here;
How do I dial a number correctly?
In roaming partner networks, to make an outgoing call, the subscriber must dial the number in the following international format:
+[country code][city or network code][subscriber number]
or
00[country code][city or network code][subscriber number]
For example, a call to the mobile number of the Mobiuz subscriber: +998 97 xxx xxxx or 00998 97 xxx xxxx.
How do I check my roaming account balance?

TEMPORARY BLOCKING CONDITIONS
In accordance with the recommendations of the GSM Association on the procedure and procedures for preventing fraud in roaming in the networks of roaming partners, the Company reserves the right to temporarily block the number of the roaming subscriber, based on the preliminary data received fr om the roaming partner(s), containing information about the expenses of the roaming subscriber in the amount exceeding his / her current balance on the account. Temporary blocking is carried out until the main (final) files are received (up to 30 days). fr om the roaming partner(s), on the basis of which the subscriber's number is charged at roaming rates for roaming services rendered.
