Based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. -778 dated September 17, 2019 "On the procedure for registration of mobile devices used, imported and manufactured for sale or personal use in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the procedure for implementing the system for registering IMEI codes of mobile devices of the GSM standard was developed.

IMEI - serial number of a mobile device consisting of 15 digits and allocated by GSMA, as well as identifying the GSM/UMTS/LTE mobile operator in the network. The IMEI code is available in all mobile devices that support SIM cards and is assigned to each SIM card slot separately. If a mobile device has two or more SIM card slots, then it has two or more IMEI codes. The presence of 2 or more IMEI codes on a mobile device means that this mobile device supports two or more SIM cards that can be served simultaneously by two or more telecom operators.

If a mobile device has two or more IMEI codes, it means that the device can be served by two or more mobile operators simultaneously using two or more SIM cards.
- What does linking a subscriber number to the IMEI code of a mobile device mean??

During the automatic registration period (1.04.2019 — 31.10.2019), mobile devices with unidentified or cloned IMEI codes were registered in the UZIMEI system with the condition that the device's IMEI code/codes are linked to the subscriber number/numbers.
In this regard, subscribers who own mobile devices with unidentified or cloned IMEI codes will be able to carry out network events (calls and SMS sending) only through the subscriber number/numbers linked to the IMEI code/codes of the device.
In cases wh ere you need to change the subscriber number linked to the IMEI code/codes of a mobile device that was registered in the UZIMEI system during the automatic registration period, you will need to contact the System Operator or the System Registrar in person.

- How much does it cost to register the IMEI code of a mobile device?

For individuals (residents and non-residents of the Republic of Uzbekistan):
Subject to registration within 30 calendar days from the date of the first network event
20% of BRV*
In case of registration after 30 calendar days from the date of the first network event
25% BRV When a non-resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan uses a foreign SIM card (roaming), registering an IMEI code is free.
You can pay for the service within 10 calendar days from the date of sending or filling out the application in person with the system operator

- How to register the IMEI code/codes of mobile devices imported into the territory of the republic through international postal or courier items?

Mobile devices imported by individuals through international postal or courier services are registered only in person with the System Operator or System Registrar, subject to the presentation of an envelope with a postal identifier barcode and a calendar stamp.
